Seit über 15 Jahren tanzen und unterrichten Sanna und Adam gemeinsam Swing-Tänze. In dieser Zeit haben sie sich durch die Freude und das Können, die sie auf die Tanzfläche bringen, einen Namen gemacht. Sie nehmen am liebsten an Balboa- und Lindy-Hop-Mix-&-Match-Wettbewerben teil und haben auf Events in Europa und den USA schon zahlreiche Titel gewonnen. Im Unterricht legen sie großen Wert auf eine solide Mischung aus Technik und Verspieltheit, was zu einem dynamischen und persönlichen Ansatz in Bezug auf Musikalität und Bewegung führt, der für Alle zugänglich und unterhaltsam ist.
Sanna and Adam have been dancing and teaching swing dances together for over fifteen years. During this time, they have become well known for the joy and skill that they bring to the social dance floor. Mostly preferring balboa and lindy hop mix & match competitions, they have taken numerous titles individually at events in Europe and the US. In the classroom, they emphasize a solid mix of technique and playfulness resulting in a dynamic and personalized approach to musicality and movement that is accessible and fun for all dancers.
Heather & Javier
Heather
Heather Ballew is from Denver, Colorado. She began dancing Lindy Hop in the 1990s, inspired by a movie. For ten years, she performed with swing troupe 23 Skidoo. Since 2002, she has taught dance worldwide and earned titles at major competitions. She choreographs for Balboa and Lindy Hop groups and believes swing should look great, feel great – and above all, be fun. Heather teaches internationally, loves social dancing with all levels, and is passionate about building vibrant dance scenes.
Javier
Javier Johnson is a rocket scientist by trade, and he brings a powerful analytical sense which joins the mechanics of dance and the soul of expression. He is well versed in all the swing dances, but specializes in Balboa and soul. As an international swing dance instructor, he's traveled around the world sharing his joy of teaching and his passion for jazz dances.
Nina & Anthony
Nina and Anthony have been sharing their passion and expertise with students around the world for nearly a decade. They are dedicated to creating a learning environment that emphasizes strong technique and in-depth historical knowledge in various dance styles making them excellent mentors and teachers. Their classes are thoughtfully structured to accommodate dancers of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Join Nina and Anthony in their journey to elevate swing dance through quality education and a genuine love for the art form.
Nina, a swing dance professional with over 25 years of dance experience, began her dance journey with Jazz Dance at the age of 7. With a degree in Art Education, she blends her artistic knowledge with her extensive dance experience to teach and inspire her students. Nina is an accomplished competitive dancer, regularly making finals and placing at events across the continent.
Her commitment to the art of swing dance, combined with her educational background, makes her a dynamic and influential presence in the dance community.
Anthony hails from the US and has been teaching Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag, Charleston, Vernacular Jazz and other American jazz era dances for over 15 years. He holds several first place titles from prominent competitions such as – Rock That Swing Festival, Midwest Lindy Fest, Fog City Stomp, Lindy on the Rocks, Nevermore Jazz Ball, European Balboa Festival, Bal Love, and The Snowball – to name a few and was a member and choreographer for the aerialist Denver dance troupe “23 Skidoo”. Anthony now teaches across Europe emphasizing a blend of old and new ideas.

The Syncopated Birds
The new international Septet “Syncopated Birds“ is formed purposely for Swing Dancers. They arranged a full set list with some of the hottest Jazz and Swing classics perfectly fitting the needs of swing dancers. With a mix of energetic hot jazz and the finest swing, their virtuosic performances and authentic arrangements revive the rhythms of the past, creating an atmosphere full of energy and joy. Inspired by legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie, Syncopated Birds gets dancers’ feet shuffling and kicking.
Round About Jazz
"Live, handcrafted, and brass-blown"
With piano, drums, double bass, and trumpet, "round about jazz" is a classic jazz quartet devoted to that swinging something that makes fingers snap and feet tap. Rooted in the local music scene, they bring a hometown flair to the stage.
